Revista Estudos Políticos is linked to the postgraduate political science programme at Universidade Federal Fluminense in Brazil. It publishes interdisciplinary work whose analysis has a clear political dimension, including contributions from sociology, anthropology, law and philosophy. Its article instructions require a doctorate for the submitting author or, in coauthored work, the first author. The journal states that it does not charge submission or manuscript-processing fees. Our price is for independent PublicationHelp services, and direct author submission remains available.

How to assess your paper’s fit
Identify the political dimension of your question and show how the evidence or argument addresses it. Explain the disciplinary approach and the contribution to the relevant debate. A study of society, law or philosophy needs an explicit connection to the journal’s political remit. Send the title, abstract, proposed section and author qualifications for a suitability discussion. These enquiry prompts help our team understand the project; they do not replace editorial assessment.
Before submission
- Check the doctorate requirement in the detailed author instructions, including the first-author condition for coauthored articles; provide the separate author biography file and ORCID information.
- Keep the review manuscript anonymous. Articles may contain up to 9,000 words, including notes and references; other sections have separate limits.
- Provide Portuguese and English abstracts of 180–250 words and five to eight keywords in each language.
